FAQ

EVERYONE! If you need financial assistance to be able to attend class, please reach out. I am happy to make reasonable accommodations for you. My goal is to make classes as accessible as possible to support our community’s health and safety.

There are several financial aid options available and I’m happy to find something that works for both of us. Please contact me prior to signing up for class so we can come to a mutual agreement. Financial aid/assistance is not able to be negotiated day of or after class is taken.

If there are class dates/times that don’t meet your availability, please reach out. I am happy to accommodate within reason. Due to AHA regulations, I am only able to have a set number of participants per class so I am unable to open up extra availability on set class dates.

YES! I’d be happy to offer a small private class for you and your friends/employees. Private classes can be held at The Historic Y or I can travel to your business with prior arrangements.

If you have specific needs to be able to attend, please reach out so that I am properly prepared and able to support you. I am happy to support any physical and neurodivergent needs you may have.

American Heart Association is the gold standard nationally for any work requirement you may need. The CPR classes are separated into two categories, those who work hospital adjacent (CPR for healthcare providers) and those who have no affiliation with the healthcare system (CPR for non-healthcare workers). If you have any questions, please reach out and I am happy to find the appropriate class for you.

Unfortunately, this is a yes and no situation… If your CPR card is needed for a specific place of employment, the name on your CPR card will have to match the paperwork that your place of employment has on file. If you are doing verbal contract work (i.e. childcare) or solely wanting to take a CPR class for personal reasons without regard to work, you are able to use whatever name you choose. I understand this may be a highly triggering subject and will minimize the usage of dead names as much as I am able to.

The American Heart Association is the national gold standard for CPR and first aid training, due to this every job across the nation will accept a CPR certification from the AHA.
